Stuck Somewhere in Your First Three Chapters?

Here’s a situation I’ve seen with a lot of writers over the years.

They have an idea they’re excited about. They dive in and write a great one, two, or three chapters.

And that’s where they stop.

Some endlessly rework Chapter One; others make it three (ish) chapters in, then stop altogether.

If that sounds familiar, this free workshop is for you.

Free online workshop (45 mins, plus next steps / Q&A)

Date: Monday 14th September

Time: 7pm BST (UK) / 2pm EDT (New York) / 11am PDT (Los Angeles)

Recording: Available the next day (but come live if you can!)

Just pop your name & email in below to sign up.

You’ll also receive my weekly newsletters & blog posts about writing. You can unsubscribe at any time.

During the workshop, we’ll be going through:

  • Why resistance to even starting Chapter One is normal (and beatable!)
  • What you can do if you feel like you can’t move on till Chapter One is “right”
  • The crucial plot point (the Hook) that comes in your first chapter …
  • … and the plot point (the Inciting Event) you’re aiming for in chapters two-four.
  • How your protagonist’s character arc will look in the first three chapters

There’ll be time for Q&A at the end, but if you have any questions in advance that you’d like me to cover during the workshop, just drop me an email (ali@aliventures.com).

Make it past your first 3 chapters (FREE workshop!)
