Privacy Policy

Thanks for visiting Aliventures! Your visiting information is tracked using Google Analytics; this includes logging how you arrived at the site, what pages you looked at, and how long you stayed. All this information is aggregated with that from the rest of the visitors to the site – it can’t be used to identify you personally.

Some options on the site let you enter an email address. Rest assured that your email address will only ever be used for the purpose you provide it for (it’ll never be sold, for example) – and if you’re signing up for regular newsletters or blog updates, you’ll always need to “opt-in” a second time by clicking a confirmation link in a special email to you. This means that your deadly nemesis can’t come here and put your email address into our forms to sign you up for a load of information that you don’t want.

Recommendations and Affiliates Policy

ALL products and services recommended on Aliventures are ones that I’ve personally used and found enjoyable or useful.

In some cases, I’m an affiliate for these products: that means I get a bit of commission if you buy them. This money helps to keep Aliventures running and to keep the content here free. If you feel uncomfortable using affiliate links, just google the name of the book/course/etc and head to the site that way, instead of using my link.

Aliventures is a participant in the Amazon Europe S.à r.l. Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.

Comments Policy

Please feel free to discuss, dissent and disagree in the comments – but please remember that you’re always addressing another person with their own opinions, thoughts and feelings. If I feel that your  comment is offensive (aggressive language, racist comments, etc), I will remove it.

I’ll also remove comments that look like spam. Apologies in advance if I and my spam filter get overzealous on this and remove a legitimate comment.
