Cheers Andrew! And yes, that does make sense -- for me, writing is my "can't not do". I really can't imagine not wanting to write in some form or other.

Hey Ali,

A rather late congratulations! This heading hit me "Start With What You Don’t Want", I heard someone else tell me to "write down what I can't not do". I thought it was a confusing double negative at first but it makes sense.

I'm with Nick on the World Peace and Piles of Money!

Heheh, cheers, Endy! I'll watch out for those orcs...

I have the exact same problem as you; too many exciting things to do and not enough time/energy for all of them! With TV shows, I'm tending to find a few series which I *really* love to watch, rather than using TV as procrastination. (Why, I have the entire internet for procrastinating purposes... ;-))

The mini-me might be a while off yet! But I sincerely hope I'll still be writing here on Aliventures in a few years' time...

Hey Ali, congratulations on the engagement! Now remember, don't wear the ring or else its dark powers will corrupt you (not to mention unleash a horde of wild orcs on your pursuit).

The thing you say about "is there anything on TV?", well I don't remember when was the last time when I sat down to watch TV. My challenge now is not in figuring out what I want, but in choosing which to do first from all the things that I want (e.g write blog posts, read the feed, practice music, record songs, learn software, etc.) But it's good to know all these things that I want lead to one purpose.

Cheers for the article, and good luck designing your dream wedding. Look forward to pictures and the future mini-you.

Thanks Rob, Milo, Dianne!

(Dianne, please do feel free to leave a link -- I've no worries about topic -- the feature's there to be used! And, although I don't write explicitly about Christianity on Aliventures, it's fundamental to my own thinking and world view, so you're less off-topic than you think..!)

Congratulations to you and Paul. Remember to enjoy the engagement and not worry to much about what everyone else thinks, after all it is your engagement.

Milo, congratulations to you too! :-) Best of luck organising the wedding: we decided to get the absolute priorities sorted out straight away (church, reception venue, date) and to do the rest piece by piece.

(We're using Google Wave to keep our wedding plans all in one place... it was Paul's idea...)

Regarding getting more organised: perhaps you could look at the areas where you're having the most problems? I used to find myself forgetting meetings (church ones, not business ones) until I found a way to keep my daily to-do list and my daily diary integrated.

Nick, blogging = good! And probably ties several of those goals together. You could even put up one of those "buy me a beer" donation buttons...

Dave, I am completely with you on not ALL passions having a market. (Actually, I wrote on that very issue: http://www.aliventures.com/passionately-broke/) Being a caver is one I've not come across before! When I was a chubby schoolkid on some form of outdoorsy trip, I got stuck in a narrow bit of cave once... I wiggled through in the end... Can you do something like guided tours? Teaching caving/potholing?

Alternatively, you might just want to figure out a bearable way to make a reasonable amount of money in not too much time, and just spend your free time caving!
