The Quit Your Day Job Competition is over, the random number generator has spoken … and Allison from life:unqualified is our winner!
(Allison, I’ve sent you an email – drop me a line with your postal address, and your books will be with you shortly.)
Allison asked about budgeting as a freelancer; something that I’ve learnt about somewhat through trial and error over the past year! I’ll be sharing some tips either here on Aliventures or in a guest post for a freelancing blog.
Thanks for all your entries – it was really interesting to see what questions you had, and I’ll be offering my thoughts on many of them over the next few weeks and months. In some cases, I may write responses on other blogs (I get around the web a bit…) but I’ll let you know where these can be found.
For those who didn’t win, you can read more about or get hold of the goodies from the following links:
4-Hour Workweek (book, $19.95) – by Timothy Ferriss. (Read my review of it here, or buy it here.)
Career Renegade (book, $14) – by Jonathan Fields (Read my review of it here, or buy it here.)
Cloud Living (ebook, $37) – by Glen Allsopp (Read my review of it here, or buy it here.)
Staff Blogging Course (ebook/ecourse, $19) – by Ali Hale (Read about and buy it here)
And if you’ve not already got it, don’t forget to download your free copy of Quit Your Day Job!
The competition might be over, but I’m still delighted to hear your questions and suggestions in the comments, so keep them coming…

A great collection of books, just perfect. Wish I had participated
.
I would add “Escape from cubicle nation” by Pamela Slim to this list. Probably a close fifth…
I was most inspired by the four hour workweek of course. The first time I read it, was just blown away by how much material Tim Ferris had packed into this book.
Anyways, will be on a lookout for your next contest
.
Cheers,
Krishna
Thanks Krishna! I’ve heard a lot of good things about Escape From Cubical Nation, must get myself a copy of it!
I too was impressed by the amount and quality of information in 4HWW, and I can see why it’s been a big bestseller!
